Fox News is a historically right-leaning media outlet. It is fairly credible despite its conservative bias. Although many people despise Fox, it is actually a decent source for information and provides neutral coverage when politics usually aren’t involved. In this case, political bus may effect the article.
CNN is a historically left-leaning media outlet. It is a credible news source as well even though there is a liberal bias. This media outlet covers a wide variety of topics and provides accurate and neutral information when it comes to relatively apolitical topics. However, this topic is not apolitical.
US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked high ranking federal officers to evaluate certain issues mentioned by the republican house. There was a deal that sold Canadian mines Uranium to Russia when Hillary’s Clinton was Secretary of State. It has been considered that Hillary may have been bribed by Russia to agree with the deal and allow it to take place. Trump has fired off some tweets about this criticizing the FBI for not already looking into this.
The Fox News article just stated the facts. Minimal facts in this case and had a very brief article pertaining to the subject. The article was however very informative despite this and informed the reader about the topic. This could have been improved by including more detail on this topic however because very little detail was given.
The CNN article states the facts and elaborated on all of it. In this article, it also stated how this could effect Hillary and the Dems, as well as the process for investigation. In this article, a lot of detail was given, but a liberal bias was included to protect Hillary and the Democratic Party in this instance. However, this article was very informative to the reader despite the liberal bias.
The CNN article was overall better, just because more facts were brought to the table and more detail was given. The Fox News article was very vague and to the point as it was only a few sentences long. However, the CNN article did have a liberal bias to protect Hillary and the Democratic Party. I appreciate Fox News’ neutral coverage in this instance as it is helpful to understand pure facts instead of looping politics into the situation. Despite this, the CNN article was superior because of its extensive detail and explanation.
In my opinion, this is just another one of those hoaxes designed to make someone look bad. A similar instance could be cited to the Trump-Russia situation where people are claiming that Russia hacked the election to make Republicans look bad. I think both of those situations were overblown and taken too far. I do not think anything happened with Hillary this time.
