Repealing of DACA

Imagine having dream that you have looked forward to for your entire life. A dream that was built on years of sacrifice. Now imagine having that dream ripped away from you with one stroke of a pen. This is what millions of immigrants are experiencing this very second. DACA was passed by the Obama administration in 2012. This bill allowed children of illegal immigrants to remain in the united states for renewable periods of up to two years. The repeal of this groundbreaking bill comes as no surprise to me, as I have come to expect this kind of behavior from the senate majority. They seem to have this attitude of “We accept everybody who isn’t gay, pro-choice, or an immigrant; especially not the immigrants.” President trump believes that the passing of DACA has a direct correlation to the influx of illegal immigrants in 2014. And as true as this may be, this still doesn’t give the house majority a right to discriminate against a group of people simply because of their status in our country. This article highlights the importance of DACA and why it should not be repealed. It goes into great detail, and gives specific examples.

CNN is one of the foremost liberal news sources in our country today. They are naturally predisposed to disagree with president Trump on this issue, as they have done many times before. They often bash Trump for his inexperience, and his loose mouth

Fox news is at the forefront of conservative media, and they often favor conservative politicians like Rush Limbaugh and Paul Ryan. They sometimes do little more than tolerate trump, but they stand behind every major decision that he makes.
